Job Description
Summary of Position
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of inbound and outbound shipments in Burlington.
Qualifications
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Make special shipping arrangements as necessary
- Perform Logistics activities including but not limited to shipping, receiving (piece parts and repairs), packing, and inventory management
- Maintain departmental records to ensure manufacturing ISO compliance.
- Monitoring inventory levels and ordering new supplies as needed to ensure that products are available when needed
- Provides staff assistance to the Warehouse Manager
- Oversee and monitor availability of stock to reduce shortages
- Identify enhancement opportunities and suggest solutions for improvement to top management
- Develop, articulate, and maintain logistic process documentation
- Liaise with the internal departments regarding stock management of finished goods
- Create and provide international shipping documentation as needed
Skills
- Excellent communication skills with warehouse workers, purchasing department, and outside vendors.
- Basic understanding of inventory control procedures.
- Proficient keyboarding skills.
Traits
- Extremely organized and able to work with minimum supervision.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- One-year supervisory experience.
- Two years warehouse experience; or combination of relevant education and experience.
