About the role

Description

 

The Department of Applied and Computational Mathematics and Statistics (ACMS) in the College of Science at the University of Notre Dame is accepting applications for a position at the rank of assistant, associate, or full professor, or instructor, which is expected to be filled this year. There is a preference for applicants whose research includes multi-disciplinary collaborations in the life sciences.

 

ACMS includes research groups in applied mathematics, statistics, and computational science involving various multi-disciplinary collaborations.  ACMS offers a Bachelor of Science, a doctoral degree, a research master’s degree, and a professional master’s degree. Position duties include research, teaching, and service. The teaching load in ACMS is competitive and the position is expected to begin in August 2025.

Qualifications

Candidates at the assistant, associate, or full professor level must have a Ph.D. degree conferred in applied mathematics, biomathematics, biostatistics, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field.  Candidates who are ABD in applied mathematics, biomathematics, biostatistics, data science, mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field will also be considered.
