What you bring:
- One (1) year dietary experience in a hospital, skilled nursing care facility, or other related medical facility preferred. Knowledge of and experience preparing therapeutic diets, preferred.
- Six (6) months housekeeping experience in a hospital, hotel, motel or similar work environment.
- Valid California Driver's License required and must meet Agency driver eligibility criteria.
How you will make a difference
- Ability to follow menus and cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
- Ability to find appropriate alternatives for clients who have reported allergies, special diets, limitations, and/or are refusing foods
- Establish and maintain good time management to ensure meals are served at correct times and temperatures
- Prepare food for therapeutic diets in accordance with planned menus.
- Ensure that safety regulations and precautions are followed at all times by all personnel and clients.
- Clean and disinfect kitchen and dining area according to current infection control practices
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and cleans floor surfaces
- Cleans and dusts furniture, closets, telephones, and vents.
- Transports clients as needed in facility vehicle.
Division/Program Overview:
- 24/7 inpatient voluntary program
- 16-bed facility for adults (ages 18-59)
- Rehabilitation/recovery services, including substance use rehabilitation services
- Pre-vocational or vocational counseling
- Medication evaluation and support services
