The Compounding Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 accurately fills and counts medications. The Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Performs computations, compounding, hazardous nonsterile compound and operation of the gel machine. Typically works on semi-routine assignments.Schedule: Monday through Friday 9:00AM to 5:30PM ET
Location: Onsite in Sharon Hill, PA
The Compounding Mail Operations Pharmacy Technician 2 will be responsible for making compounds per the USP 795/ USP 800 guidelines. Technician must be able to prepare compounds by:
- Selecting components, computing quantities, set up, operate and maintain common and specialized instruments and equipment.
- Convert instructions to proper units and measures and calculate the quantity of solution required based on concentration, dosage form, number of doses, and loss in process.
- Maintain and follow proper procedure for compounding.
- Perform non-sterile compounds and prepacking of stock including preparation of equipment, labels and worksheets, simple compounding procedures, packing and labeling of products, quality control procedures.
- Perform calculations measures for compounding and complete compounding logs that aligns with the current USP standards.
- Assemble equipment and supplies necessary to compound bulk items.
- Operate and maintain gel machine.
- Calibrate and maintain specific equipment needed to compound medications.
- Compound all dosage forms identified in USP guidelines.
Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Works within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing, and works under minimal direction. Follows standard policies/practices that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and/or independent discretion.

Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of Pharmacy Technician experience
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Possess hand strength to grasp and feel items continuously
- Frequently required to walk, reach with hands and arms.
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
- Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Preferred Qualifications
- Compounding experience, highly preferred
- National Certification, PTCB CphT
- High School Diploma or GED

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
