As a Director, Mechanical Engineer at Aescape you will be part of the hardware team leading and developing a high performance mechanical engineering team to develop innovative products. You will bring together cutting edge technologies including robotics, computer vision and motion control systems. Partnering closely with design, manufacturing and either engineering disciplines to innovate and drive new product development.

What You'll Do
Lead, mentor and develop a team of highly skilled mechanical engineers.
Partner with cross functional teams to drive execution and problem solving.
Drive cross function design reviews and process to ensure high quality deliverables from the team.
Collaborate closely with suppliers and JDMs to get the most out of our manufacturing partners.
What You'll Bring
Ability to work onsite in the NYC headquarters.
8 plus years as an engineering leader developing innovative high technology products.
5 plus years managing highly technical teams.
A strong technical background in mechanical engineering.
Experience developing and launching multiple products to market.
Experience working with JDM manufacturing partners.
Strong written and verbal skills.
Collaboration skills, you easily communicate effectively with diverse audiences in geographically distributed locations.
High emotional intelligence (EQ), you’re aware of yourself and others.
A driven self-starter who thrives in sometimes ambiguous situations.
Nice To Have
Experience with medical devices, robotics, consumer electronics.
