The mission of the Safety Surveillance & Collaboration (SS&C) team within CVS Healthspire Payor & Life Sciences Solutions, is to actively monitor the US public health in collaboration with Food and Drug Administration (FDA), academic institutions, and other health insurance companies. The SS&C team conducts descriptive research, medical chart review validations, and pragmatic research using the FDA Sentinel Common Data Model (SCDM), Sentinel and Distributed Research Network (DRN) tools, Observational Medical Outcomes Partnership (OMOP) CDM, Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Initiative (PCORI) CDM, and Aetna’s Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
What you will do:
- Manage multi-year, large complex projects from inception through implementation.
- Support extract-transform-load(ETL) activities including understanding of the data sources, research questions, and data quality assessment.
- Understand and probe into technical details and mentor others to do the same.
- Work across CVS departments to include Data Governance, Legal, Finance, Accounting, and IT to accomplish a singular goal.
- Reporting to internal teams and external organizations per project guidelines
- Time track within time tracking tool.
- Be an active advisory role to address complex proposal, contracts, and operation challenges.
- Assist with performance planning including management of deadlines, produce Weekly Dashboards, and conduct continuous process improvement.
- Facilitate meetings as needed with internal and external teams to ensure all deliverables are timely.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of project management experience within health insurance, pharmaceutical, academia or similar.
- Experience working on data operations & ETL projects.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior Experience with FDA Sentinel Program and BEST Program.
- Knowledge of industry standard common data models - Sentinel, OMOP and PCORI.
- Understanding of Salesforce, Smartsheet, QuickBase, Visio and/or other project management software.
- Prior experience working on Real World Evidence/Life Sciences Solutions.
- Strong problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability.
Education
- Bachelor's degree required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$75,400.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
