Project Overview

Bechtel and Westinghouse Electric Company have partnered to deliver the first AP1000 nuclear power reactors in Poland for our customer, the Polish Entity Polskie Elektrownie Jadrowe (PEJ). Bechtel will be the Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contractor for the project. As the EPC, our responsibilities will include providing the design for the Turbine Island and Balance of Plant as well as the construction of the entire facility. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity, and we are looking for the talent that will help expand Poland’s nuclear base and build a strong and long-lasting energy future for generations to come. 

 

Responsibilities

• Candidate should have past experience and be very familar with ASME piping codes and standards to help with code comaprisons to support project needs.
• Candidate may also get involved with other duties including reviewing pipe and piping component related calculations and material evaluations.
• Prepare and coordinate piping and valve specifications and/or material requisitions, bid evaluations and award recommendations and perform detailed supplier bid technical evaluations and supplier document reviews.
• Candidate should have past experience with ASME B31.3/B31.1 and other relevant industry piping codes and standards.

 

Qualifications and Skills

Basic Qualifications

• Level 1: BS degree with 9 years of related experience.
• Level 2: BS degree with 14  years of related experience.
• Must be a United States citizen.

 

Minimum Qualifications

• PE Registration (Preferred).
• Previous Bechtel Pipe & Valve experience.
• Familar with development of piping material specifications.
• Previous commercial nuclear power experience.
