JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Lake Erie Regional Grape Research and Extension Center is looking to hire a part-time research assistant. The individual will participate in research programs involving grape diseases, insects, and grape vine physiology. The individual should have some education in the sciences and a strong interest in plant biology or agriculture.

Duties include: collecting soil and tissue samples in various research vineyard plots, helping set up research in vineyards and green house, and using scientific equipment in laboratory and in vineyards.

This job requires that you operate a motor vehicle as a part of your job duties. A valid US driver’s license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check will be required in addition to standard background checks.
