What we want
The Community Health Worker II recruits participants, assesses community needs, and connects participants to social and community support resources. This position co-leads data collection and program assessment and provides periodic support to Together for a Better Tomorrow program functions.

Salary: Compensation will be commensurate to the selected hire’s experience.

Other Factors/Requirements: Persons in this position should be able to work beyond normal office hours including adaptable work hours on weekends/evenings. This position will require occasional travel outside of the Lower Rio Grande Valley as well as substantial travel within the Lower Rio Grande Valley (multiple Counties). Persons in this position should be able to travel independently to other and/or remote locations by driving and/or flying on commercial airlines. This position will require the ability to temporarily store data in home residence.

Qualifications
Required Education and Experience
Associate degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience
Four years of related experience
Required Licenses and Certifications
Department of State Health Services (DSHS) certification, certified CHW and/or CHWI, Promotora Certification of Training, or ability to successfully complete Promotora Certification
Preferred Qualifications
Two years of related experience as a Community Health Worker working with Spanish-speaking community members, stakeholders, and completing research and outreach activities
Public relations and marketing experience
Experience with assisting or leading training efforts
Experience with data collection and data management efforts
Experience with community-based participatory research efforts
