Patient Access Rep

Description

Our healthcare facility is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to join our Physical Therapy department. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, and strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Manage patient accounts and ensure accurate billing and reimbursement for Physical Therapy services
• Answer phones, greet patients, schedule patients. 
• Communicate with patients and insurance companies to resolve any billing or reimbursement issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
• Work closely with the Physical Therapy team to ensure a seamless patient experience
• Collect patient payments.
• Assist physical therapist as needed

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate's or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred
• Knowledge of insurance billing and reimbursement procedures, including Medicare
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
