About the role
Must be able to make repairs to optical machines in a timely manner and document the process within the CMMS
- Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
- Monitors and completes all required maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe.
- Performs calibration and verifies test standards are within required tolerances.
- Manages the repair and calibration of key tools and measurement devices, including general calibration.
- Keeps inventory by entering in part information into the CMMS
- Administers and updates all calibration methods and procedures as required.
- Maintains control and traceability of tooling within the shop and with outside vendors.
- Communicates machine updates, status, and the timeframe for repairs to production, leads, or supervisors.
- Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment
- Trains on the calibration process as needed.
- Contact vendors for support with machine repairs and diagnostics.
- Performs installation of all types of optical equipment and works with engineers as needed.
- Interprets engineering schematics and procedures used during machine diagnostics
- Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standard, there
- Assists with building maintenance as needed
Other responsibilities as assigned.
- Three to five years of experience that is directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a background in optical machinery, automotive, or maintenance
- High School Diploma, Technical certification preferred
- Forklift and scissor lift operations licensed and able to perform safely preferred
