We are seeking a Tax Senior to join our firm.  In this role, you will share your passion for excellence and commitment to relationships. You can juggle multiple projects to a high degree of efficiency and demonstrate advanced technical skills in various tax and accounting areas. You’ll help business leaders look around corners, go beyond the numbers, and do something different by developing rapport with clients and making a difference. Whether you intend to specialize or gain exposure across many service lines, you won’t be limited at Geffen Mesher.

What you’ll be doing

• Participate in client engagements from the beginning to completion- including planning, executing, and completing tax projects.
• Prepare or review returns for partnership, corporate and foreign tax clients, including federal, foreign, State and Local tax returns, estimated payments and extensions, and Federal and State tax audits.
• Tax research, consultation, and preparation of client communication.
• Develop ideas to assist clients with operational and control opportunities.
• Work to develop relationships with clients, including involvement in networking and business development activities.
• Adhere to the core values and standards of the organization.

Requirements

What makes you a fit 

• Bachelor's degree in business, accounting or a similar discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience in public accounting.
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or IRS Enrolled Agent (EA), or in the process to become one.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with CaseWare, CCH Axcess Tax, CCH Fixed Assets, and Sureprep. 
• Proficient with MS Office technology suite.
