Position Overview:

The Ambulnz Inspector General is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of Ambulnz operations comply with local, state, and federal regulatory requirements. This role involves conducting comprehensive inspections of personnel, vehicles, stations, venues, and any Ambulnz site of operation. The Inspector General will report directly to the Vice-President of Operations and play a critical role in maintaining high standards of safety, health, and operational integrity.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all Ambulnz operations comply with relevant regulations, including but not limited to NYS Department of Health Part 800, NYS Department of Health Part 18, NYS Department of Health Part 80, OSHA regulations, and NYS Department of Labor regulations. This includes all applications and renewals of certificates as required by regulatory agencies.

  • Site Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of personnel, vehicles, stations, venues, and other operational sites to ensure they meet local, state, and federal standards.

  • Audit Preparation: Prepare and submit reports detailing inspection findings, corrective actions, and compliance recommendations to the Vice-President of Operations.

  • Policy Implementation: Ensure that policies and procedures are in place to maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory standards.

  • Incident Reporting: Investigate and report any compliance violations, recommending corrective actions where necessary.

  • Staff Training: Work with department heads to provide training and resources for employees to ensure they understand and comply with relevant regulations.

  • Documentation: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of inspections, regulatory changes, and compliance activities.

  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement strategies for improving operational compliance and safety.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as human resources, operations, and safety, to ensure compliance efforts are coordinated across the organization.

 

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal health, safety, and labor regulations

  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail

  • Effective communication skills for interacting with regulatory agencies and internal teams

  • Willing and able to travel 50% and at times up to 75% as needed to excel in the role
