Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency's HOME Youth Services is looking for a Behavioral Health Coordinator to join their team! This position is located at HOME Youth Services, a program that works directly with vulnerable and at-risk youth in Marion and Polk County. The Behavioral Health Coordinator is a Qualified Mental Health Professional that will provide case management services focused on mental health to the residents and clients of HOME Youth Services. The person in this position will work collaboratively with program staff and community partners to provide support and advocacy with the goal of encouraging positive mental health for residents and clients of HOME Youth Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required of this position.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

Current license as a Qualified Mental Health Professional and at least two years related social services experience that includes case management and program coordination and/or training.

Previous experience working or volunteering with youth preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES & REGISTRATIONS

Driver qualification status required for this position. Valid driver license and insured vehicle available for use on-the-job with satisfactory drive record for the past 3 years.

Candidate must pass a comprehensive MWVCAA background screening prior to employment.

Candidate must pass Oregon Department of Human Services criminal background check.

Candidate must pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screenings.

Performs needs assessments using a client centered, trauma informed approach. Uses information gathered in assessments to develop comprehensive support plans to designated youth in order to support their individualized needs and goals.

Performs risk assessments with youth. Provides guidance to program management based on results gathered in assessments.

Works in collaboration with Program Director to create and modify curriculum for assessments. Recommends changes as needed.

Sits in on leadership meetings to provide insight on program incidents.

Provides mental health training and support to program staff.

Monitors participant progress and maintains detailed and up-to-date case notes.

Maintains organized and complete client files.

Coordinates and facilitates life skills workshops for residents and clients.

Employs de-escalation techniques and makes quick decisions in response to incidents.
