Job Description:

PROGRAM MANAGER


Oversee complex programs that drive impactful mission outcomes for our customers as a Program Manager. Here, you’ll see the bigger picture on mission initiatives and where your program management career can go at GDIT.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT
As a Program Manager, the work you’ll do at GDIT will be impactful to the mission of PEO IWS 5. You will play a crucial role in managing support undersea warfare systems for the US Navy.  This position will be both managing current programs and future program development. 

● Manages and is responsible for the successful completion of all tasks in assigned program area with annual revenues up to $25M

● Manage customer site and company site team members in support of Navy’s SONAR programs

● Work with the GDIT SONAR team and supporting repair, fabrication, and installation teams to meet customer requirements and exceed expectations

● Manage and collaborate with project members, cross-functional teams, and other stakeholders to ensure deliverables, requirements, schedules, cost, and meeting plans are communicated.

● Utilize appropriate tools to plan project timelines, tasks, milestones, and deadlines.

● Communicate schedule and changes to all stakeholders.

● Plan and facilitate project meetings to align the project team to methods and goals, and to track project tasks.

● Prepare agendas, meeting notes, and project summaries.

Monitor task completion status to identify at risk project tasks and to develop mitigation plans.

● Allocate resources, budgets, and hours to the project and adjust allocations when necessary.


WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED
Bring your program management expertise along with a drive for innovation to GDIT. The Program Manager must have:

● Ten (10) years of professional experience in project management including engineering, risk management, financial management, shipboard installation, planning and oversight task progress

●Five (5) or more years’ specialized experience performing work in each of the following areas:        

o Demonstrated ability to lead personnel through all aspects of project activity.

o Demonstrated experience supporting Dept. of the Navy and/or Dept. of Defense programs.

o Demonstrated experience supporting US Navy shipboard and shore-based installation programs.

o Demonstrated experience performing cost estimates associated with Level of Effort, scope of work and associated requirements.

o Demonstrated experience managing multiple Task Orders/Technical Instructions.

The likely salary range for this position is $144,500 - $195,500. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
