Position Summary

The VDC Senior Designer is responsible for producing and coordinating detailed electrical models for large-scale commercial and mission critical projects. This role supports preconstruction and field operations by developing accurate, constructible designs that align with project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed 3D electrical models.

• Perform clash detection and coordination with other trades.

• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure modeling accuracy.

• Work closely with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Pre-Construction teams.

• Support prefabrication planning and layout development.

• Revise models to reflect design changes and field adjustments.

• Maintain documentation and modeling standards.

Required Qualifications & Competencies

• Proven experience in electrical modeling for commercial or mission critical projects.

• Proficiency in industry-standard BIM/VDC software.

• Strong understanding of electrical systems and construction documents.

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
