Job Description:

POSITION TITLE: Student Employee, Choir Librarian 
STATUS: Part time
DEPARTMENT: Fine Arts
DIVISION:  Academic Affairs
REPORTS TO: Department Chair
CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt
Hiring range:  $15.00 per hour
(Position is FWS Eligible)

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Organize, label, file choral music

2. Maintain choral music file cabinets.  

3. Assist Choir Director. 

4. Assist as needed with all music performances including setup. 

5. Perform related duties as assigned. 

Minimum qualifications:

1. Must be a member of JJC Community Choir and/or Choral. 
2. GPA of 2.0 or above.
3. Must be enrolled at JJC in at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semester.
4. High School diploma or equivalent. 
5. Excellent Customer Service skills
6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
7. Attentiveness to detail, excellent organizational skills, initiative, and multitasking. 
8. Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other members of the college and community, displaying cultural competence as well as emotional intelligence.

Preferred Qualifications 

1. Music Major

Scheduled Weekly Hours: This is a student employee position that works around your class schedule. May work up to 20 hours per week during the fall and spring semesters. During summer and holiday breaks (Winter/Spring), may work up to 28 hours per week with supervisor approval.
