As a Senior Vehicle Electrification Test Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the design and development of next-generation test systems for some of the world's most iconic vehicles.</p> <p> </p> <p>You’ll work on cutting-edge systems used in the verification and validation of electric propulsion and autonomous vehicle technologies. This role provides opportunities to lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to innovate and drive product quality to new heights.</p> <p> </p> <p><b><b>Key Responsibilities &amp; Accountabilities</b></b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <p><b><b>Design &amp; Develop Testing Systems</b></b>: Lead the design, development, and implementation of comprehensive test systems and methodologies to ensure product quality and reliability across JLR’s electrification and autonomous vehicle projects.</p> </li> <li> <p><b><b>End-to-End Testing Activities</b></b>: Oversee and conduct end-to-end testing, from planning through execution to reporting. Analyse test results to enhance performance, focusing on innovative solutions and maintaining robust test environments.</p> </li> <li> <p><b><b>Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams</b></b>: Work closely with various engineering teams to define, document, and analyse test requirements to ensure the adequacy and robustness of the testing environment.</p> </li> <li> <p><b><b>Mentorship &amp; Leadership</b></b>: Mentor junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence while leading complex testing projects in alignment with industry standards.</p> </li> <li> <p><b><b>Documentation &amp; Reporting</b></b>: Ensure all test systems, processes, results, and design enhancements are documented thoroughly. Report on the status of test activities, product performance, and any improvements made to test methodologies.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><b>WHAT YOU’LL NEED</b></b></p> <p> </p> <ul> <li> <p>6+ years of experience in test system development, specifically with MIL/SIL/HIL Test Environments.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience in electrical powertrain components and systems, including 3-phase inverters, onboard chargers, and DCDC converters will be a distinct advantage, although training will be available for candidates keen to learn about electric vehicle systems</p> </li> <li> <p>Strong programming skills in MATLAB and Python, with an understanding of software development practices, including version control using GitLab.</p> </li> <li> <p>Experience with test equipment design, development, and validation processes in the electrical powertrain sector.</p> </li> <li> <p>Proven leadership ability and the capability to guide small teams of engineers, promoting collaboration and innovation within and across teams.</p> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><b><b>THE BENEFITS</b></b></p> <p> </p> <p>This role is rewarding in more ways than one.
