Location: Kansas City, MO
Pay Range: $30.04 – $41.50/hour (based on experience)
Shift Differentials: $4.00/hour for Nights and Weekends
Sign-On Bonus: Up to $30,000 (Nights) or $12,000 (Days) with a 2-year commitment
Relocation Assistance: Available on a case-by-case basis

About the Role
As a Cardiac Care RN, you will care for patients recovering from open heart surgeries, heart catheterizations, ablations, pacemaker/AICD insertions, and more. You will coordinate care delivery, support recovery, and contribute to strong clinical outcomes within a comprehensive stroke and STEMI-certified facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver direct patient care aligned with nursing and hospital standards

  • Monitor and assist patients recovering from cardiovascular procedures

  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes

  • Maintain accurate records and follow protocols for cardiac monitoring

Unit Details

  • 36-bed Cardiac Specialty Unit

  • Nurse-to-Patient Ratio: 1:3 to 1:5 (based on acuity and staffing)

  • Patient Types: Post-op open heart, cardiac cath, stent placements, electrophysiology, pacemaker/AICD implants

Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 1 year in acute cardiac care or telemetry

  • Education: Graduate from an accredited nursing program

  • Licensure: Active RN license in Missouri (or compact license)

  • Certifications:

    • BLS required upon hire

    • ACLS required within 6 months
