As a Senior Systems engineer you will include proficiencies in IT operations, maintenance, and engineering of IT functions and processes, including Windows Server administration, data replication and retention (backups), VMWare ESX, on-premise SAN, cloud based storage, Linux servers, vendor management, data center functions, IT security, endpoint patching, Active Directory (including group policy), Azure/AWS, Azure Virtual machine deployment and administration, identity and access management, certificate management, including SSO/SAML/MFA.
What You Will Do:
Design, implement, build, deploy, and configure IT server, cloud, application, and storage systems and processes.
Test (proof of concept) all proposed and implemented solutions.
Participate in an off-hours (on-call) and patching rotation.
Monitor performance indicators and metrics, and develop ways to improve existing IT processes.
Provide technical guidance and educate team members and coworkers on development and operations.
Brainstorm for new ideas and ways to improve service delivery.
Build, maintain, and monitor configuration standards, while maintaining day-to-day workload, incident remediation, and administration of platforms and projects.
Implement and support software integrations with Azure, Teams, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, and mobile device management solutions, such as Intune.
Who You Are:
Bachelor’s degree preferred (or equivalent work experience)
Knowledge— Office 365, Azure/Entra Active Directory, Entra Connect, Group Policy, server virtualization (including hyperconverged solutions), cloud compute and storage technologies, system imaging and patch management. Experience with end user troubleshooting, remediation of incidents, handling of service requests, and proficient knowledge of desktop and mobile device administration.
Skills—Service Delivery, automation, scripting, scheduling tasks, monitoring for system configuration changes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to interface effectively and collaborate with third party suppliers, vendors, and value added resellers. Work within the firm’s budgeting and project frameworks, and with existing incident and change management processes.
