The Role:
We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Field Technical Specialist who brings a technical mindset and curiosity to the table. In this role, you’ll engage directly with dealership technicians and conduct field diagnostic visits to identify issues, determine root causes, and collaborate with the appropriate teams to develop, implement, and evaluate countermeasures that resolve technical concerns and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Provide remote assistance to technicians related to maintenance, or repair of organization’s product offerings.
- Provides guided diagnostic assistance using industry experience, existing documentation or knowledge bases. Additionally informs and guides service personnel in efficient use of available embedded diagnostic information or OEM special service tools and explains proper operation and performance of products.
- Provide direct “hands on” technical support on-site to resolve complex technical issues.
- Develop requirements for field modifications to meet customer needs.
- Continuously facilitate the improvement of the organization’s product offerings via technical reports
- Utilize CSM (Customer Service Management) system for tracking requests, troubleshooting problems, and documenting resolutions.
- Assist Sales, Marketing, Product, Training and Legal Departments by providing detailed technical support and product information.
- Assist the Warranty Department on judgments or understanding of products.
- This position requires up to 75% travel that may arise with minimal notice.
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
- Additional duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For:
- Associate's Degree in Engineering or Technical discipline (Alternative degrees or extensive work experience in relevant industries will be considered).
- ASE certification or technical training in hydraulics, electrical systems, engines and drivetrains.
- Six or more years of experience providing technical support in the material handling, heavy equipment or automotive industries.
What Sets You Apart:
- Experience with customer or dealer communications and operations a plus.
Where and When You’ll Work:
- This role is fully remote within the United States, with extensive travel up to 75% of the time required.
What Your Total Compensation & Benefits Package will look like:
Salary - $83,340 - $106,845 per year. Compensation depends on the selected candidate’s education and experience.
