Job Description

Accenture Federal Services (AFS) is seeking a Sr. Cloud Network Engineer to design, provision, operate, and maintain multi-domain transport services available to Cloud tenants as Infrastructure as Code (IaC), while ensuring cybersecurity compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise cloud network architectures, primarily in AWS, with multicloud integrations as needed.
  • Optimize and automate cloud network configurations to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance across hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
  • Use DevSecOps principles and methodologies to build and manage secure and efficient cloud networking pipelines.
  • Develop, deploy, and manage IaC solutions for provisioning, configuring, and monitoring cloud networks using tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network and cloud performance issues, ensuring high availability and secure operations for mission-critical workloads.
  • Define, document, and enforce cloud networking standards, best practices, and operational guidelines for the organization.
  • Collaborate with DevSecOps, software development, and security teams to design secure and compliant cloud network solutions.

Here’s what you need:

  • Experience with programming, scripting, or markup languages, that may include golang, Java, JavaScript, Bash, Ansible, Python, C, JSON, or YAML.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with design, research, development, and implementation of network solutions, resolution of networking issues, load balancing, firewalls, routing, DNS
  • Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience with provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of software and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) in a DevSecOps and continuous delivery environment using tools such as terraform, CloudFormation
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services; hands-on experience with AWS Direct Connect (DX) and TGWs
  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Minimum 1 year hands-on experience with Linux operating systems, command-line interfaces, firewalls, including Palo Alto, Cisco CSRs.
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology related area of study or 6 years of experience working with IT systems may substitute academic degree
  • Active TS w/ SCI eligibility clearance

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experiencing configuring network and cloud devices in accordance with Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG).
  • Understanding of cybersecurity best practices in a cloud-based environment required to obtain and maintain an Authorization to Operate (ATO).
  • Compliance with DoDD 8570.01-M IAT Level II certifications (e.g., Security+ CE) or the ability to obtain these certifications within 30 days of the start date.
  • Advanced cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Network Engineer Associate).
  • Network certifications (e.g., Network+, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent).

Security Clearance:

  • Active TS w/ SCI eligibility US Government security clearance is required

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, Washington, and the District of Columbia.
