This opportunity resides with Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C5ISR), a business group within HII’s Mission Technologies division. From towers to processors, we design, develop, integrate and manage the sensors, systems and other assets necessary to support integrated intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR) operations, exploitation and analysis for the Intelligence Community, the military services, geographic and functional combatant commands and DoD agencies.

Job Description

Are you a tech-savvy Project Manager with a passion for innovation and track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget?  If so, then we want you on our team as a Project Manager.  

 

Mission Technologies, a division of HII, is hiring a Project Manager to support operations within our Minotaur software business group at our Hanover, MD location.  

 

As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge technology solutions to our customers in national defense.  You will closely with our product development, engineering design, and quality assurance teams to ensure that projects are completed to the highest quality standards and meet customer needs that involve the Minotaur software.  Minotaur ingests data from various sensors on manned and unmanned surveillance aircraft to enhance an operator’s ability to identify tracks from various on-board sensors, from both sea and land, that is utilized in all branches of the military.

Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of complex software development projects 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, requirements, and deliverables 
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource plans 
  • Identify and manage projects risks and issues, and develop contingency plans as needed 
  • Communicate project progress, status, and issues to stakeholders, including senior leadership 
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the project team 
  • Ensure that projects are delivered to the highest quality standards 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 2 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Proven track record of delivering complex technology projects on time and within budget 
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams 
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment, with a deep understanding of Agile methodologies and tools 

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelors or higher in Computer Science, Engineering, or a technology related field 
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • PMP certification 

Physical Requirements

May be required to visit job site in an industrial or shipboard environment. Normally not required to lift more than 40 pounds higher than three feet above feet/floor level.
