Position Overview

The Division of Mental Health is seeking to hire a Mental Health Technician III for the Madden Mental Health Center located in Hines, Illinois to serve as a designated lead worker. On an assigned shift on an assigned unit provides guidance and direction to lower-level technicians; intervenes to verify correct and consistent implementation of facility policies and procedures; verifies compliance with Facility/Division Living Unit philosophy, program, procedures and practices; completes documentation; performs checks and completes documentation to verify environment of living unit is maintained in a comfortable, attractive, safe and sanitary manner. Attends and completes scheduled training.

Essential Functions

• On an assigned shift on an assigned unit, provides physical support to patients with personal care services.
• Serves as a designated lead worker.
• Conducts individual and group programs.
• Performs checks and completes documentation to verify environment of living unit is maintained in a comfortable, attractive, safe and sanitary manner.
• Teaches and directs patients in the maintenance of a clean, safe and secure environment. 
• Attends and completes scheduled traini
