Bachoco OK Foods is seeking a Cut Up Supervisor for our Fort Smith, AR location.
Work Schedule: 5:00pm – 2:00am
Summary: Required to complete all necessary reports reflecting daily accomplishments and employee timesheets. Assists Production Superintendent as needed to accomplish set goals and objectives of the total plant operation by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Keeps Plant Manager and Production Superintendent informed on any production, mechanical, supply or employee problems which effects plant performance.
- Insures proper staffing and training of all employees.
- Understands company specifications on all products and proper operating in a safe and quality environment to achieve goals of line performance.
- Coordinates with department heads on necessary maintenance, supplies, and equipment to ensure line operates properly.
- Tracks employee's time and records on timesheets. Issues employee paychecks.
- Involved in counseling employees with personnel.
- Assists Plant Manager and Production Superintendent as needed to achieve the company's goals and objectives.
- Performs all other assigned duties as necessary.
- This is a safety sensitive position.
Supervisory Responsibilities: Directly supervises 40 employees. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience: High School diploma or education beyond high school including special training, vocational school and/or college courses is preferred. 2+ years with supervisory experience in manufacturing, and minimum of 1 year HACCP experience. Food manufacturing is a plus.
Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Contact Management systems; Payroll systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Must receive HACCP certification.
