About the role

As a Creative Lead, you will collaborate with your team to lead conceptual development for video content across all client platforms. The right candidate will be thoughtful in their approach to creating concepts and designs that have strong strategic underpinnings. You will use your expertise in motion design to help craft compelling visual stories. You bring positivity and enthusiasm to a wide range of managed projects and share responsibility mentoring your team in both craft and creative development. It's a fun gig! You’ll often find yourself doing fun things like write, sketch, design, animate, smile, present, listen, learn, grow and most importantly, have fun with friends making things move. The role is what you make of it, and you’ll make it great.

Our ideal candidate will sit in Seattle, WA, but we are open to folks in Los Angeles, CA as well. 

What you'll do:

  • Lead teams of designers, animators, writers and production artists with compassion and ambition to create outstanding video content under deadlines
  • Create concepts both independently and collaboratively
  • Present ideas thoughtfully, both to internal stakeholders as well as clients
  • Provide reference material and write-ups that sells through concepts visually
  • Ideate and execute video content from script while maintaining client and agency brand standards
  • Continuously search for optimal solutions to creative challenges
  • Work with creative and production teams to identify opportunity areas within existing client work, internal process, and training opportunities
  • Keep on top of software advancements in the CG and video production industries
  • Lead internal teams on initiatives that help improve process and creative output
  • Keep all your work organized within our system to set your collaborative partners up for success

What you've got: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in video production, graphic design, or related field
  • At least 5 years of solid experience working in a professional, client-driven environment, designing and creating broadcast-quality motion graphics for both standard and unusual screen sizes and shapes
  • An ability to create concepts and designs that ladder up to a strategic brief
  • Deep understanding of the art of storytelling through motion graphics, video and music/audio
  • Skills and expertise for every step of the production process, including a sophisticated design sense for integrating motion with 2D, 3D and experiential brand activity
  • Expert knowledge of After Effects and popular plug-ins
  • Moderate to advanced knowledge of Cinema4D, and a familiarity with render passes and compositing 3D elements within After Effects
  • A positive attitude that shows enthusiasm for the creative process and a desire to make the impossible come to life
  • Experience and strong graps of post-production environments and graphics workflows to and from AE, Premiere, and Cinema4D packages
  • Comfort with Adobe Premiere/Final Cut, and basic editing practices
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (such as Adobe
