Job Description

The Health Promotion, Practice and Innovation (HPPI) Portfolio has an opening for a part-time School-based Social and Emotional Learning Training & Technical Assistance Associate (School-based SEL TTA Associate), reporting to the Senior Project Director. 

The HPPI portfolio includes projects related to social and emotional learning, school-based mental health supports, substance misuse prevention, and suicide prevention. This position has a specific focus on school-based social and emotional learning and mental health supports.

The person in this position is expected to communicate clearly and courteously; to develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, consultants, collaborators, co-workers, field sites, and funders; and to work respectfully with EDC colleagues. The job requires adherence to EDC policies & procedures.

You will:

• deliver technical assistance and consultation to school districts and schools
• provide subject matter expertise to internal staff in the development of projects and resources
• contribute to the development of client-oriented technical assistance
• facilitate virtual professional development sessions for educators

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in education, public health, public administration, social work, psychology, sociology or related field

Skills & Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience working with or in school districts/schools
• Experience in school leadership, school-level systems, and/or school-level strategic planning
• Demonstrated expertise in SEL, school climate, sense of belonging, or mental and/or behavioral health

Preferred Education, Skills & Experience: 

• Master's degree in education, public health, public administration, social work, psychology, sociology or related field

Additional Information

Preference for individuals in the Massachusetts area. This position will need to travel to schools in Massachusetts about 10 days a year, otherwise work can be remote and is open to US-based telecommuters.

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $74,000 to $119,000. Salary offers are made based on market analysis and internal equity.
