Senior Optometric Manager

Thomas Eye Group is looking for a Senior Optometric Manager that is highly motivated with proven leadership and experience in optometric operations: this person will use administrative, clinical, and management experience to provide strong leadership and teamwork to plan and evaluate patient care, clinical workflow, and retail sales for the optical space. This position works closely with the Operations Team.

The successful candidate will have:

• A high degree of experience in leading and managing optometric operations
• Ability to analyze complex issues, develop creative solutions, employ consensus-building skills, and form effective working relationships with physicians and staff.
• Ability to develop office protocols that assist with optimized clinical flow and efficiency
• Knowledge of current healthcare compliance reporting, including MIPS, PQRS, and MU
• Experience in optometry and the optical sales of eyeglasses and contacts.

Required Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required

Required Minimum Experience: 5-years' health care managerial experience (preferably in eye care)

Strong operational and financial management skills, including an understanding of financial statements and budgetary experience.

Excellent staff management skills and experience with regulatory compliance issues, including but not limited to FSLA, FMLA, EEOC, ADA, state employment regulations, HIPAA and OSHA.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to express himself/herself in writing and orally with clarity and professionalism.
