Raytheon is seeking a Requirements and Capabilities Associate Director that will be responsible for supporting international business development activities and creating new aftermarket sustainment opportunities to drive top line growth of Raytheon Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS) and product Support product lines. The Associate Director will lead Land and Air Defense Sustainment and Services offset and localization and support business development efforts as part of a larger capture team. Expanded responsibilities include supporting international country teams with Ground Based Air Defense captures and coordinating aftermarket sustainment solutions across multiple business units, to the Department of Defense under Foreign Military Sales cases and to international customers by leveraging Raytheon solutions and capabilities.
What You Will Do
- Support and, when required, lead international Ground Based Air Defense (GBAD) captures while also serving as the aftermarket sustainment subject matter expert
- Support the LADS Requirements and Capabilities team to identify, and develop new business opportunities, and position new business resources to achieve LADS growth objectives. Customer account value exceeds $2.5B.
- Serve as the aftermarket sustainment offset and localization expert for Raytheon
- Build trust and sound relationships with customers and clearly articulate to LADS business leadership customer needs
- Support development and marketing strategies to achieve business goals aligned with customer plans and programs
- Focus on the customer, understand strategic environment, threat capabilities, problems, priorities, limitations, and requirements. Understand how the customer perceives GBAD and Aftermarket Sustainment capability and capacity gaps. Create opportunities to help develop requirements. Shape opportunities to explain and promote Raytheon solutions.
- Develop and implement internal and external customer contact plans
- Analyze customer information associated with product sustainment and develop customer hot buttons and key performance parameters to support captures
- Work closely with capture managers, product support leadership, and life cycle engineering to provide customer knowledge and strategic support for capture and proposal process
- Lead and support internal Raytheon Gate Reviews; conduct internal and external briefings
- Approximately 50% annual domestic and international travel for customer engagements and tradeshows
- This position is an onsite role in Huntsville, AL
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years' relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and 10 years’ experience
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in business development, program management, technology development, or related experience with Army and International Partner requirements development and/or Army acquisition
- U.S. Army Air Defense Officer or U.S. Army Logistics Officer with experience supporting Air Defense formations
- Experience with offset and localization processes
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Knowledge of cross site and enterprise level planning and implementation practices
- Experience with Raytheon Capture Manager and Gating practices
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
