Summary of Duties:

As a Maintenance Mechanic Lead, you’ll take charge of guiding lower-level mechanics in inspecting, testing, operating, and maintaining the mechanical and electrical systems that keep our campus running smoothly. In this role, you’ll bring your broad expertise across multiple trades—including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, welding, and machinist work—to ensure our facilities are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

What you’ll do:

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanics, overseeing preventative maintenance (PM) work orders and ensuring timely completion in our AIM system.

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair fans, motors, pumps, and other rotating equipment across campus buildings.

• Work hands-on with hydraulic systems and their components, performing repairs and routine maintenance.

• Install and maintain bearings, including those requiring specialized hoist arrangements or custom fabrication.

• Use your problem-solving skills to tackle complex mechanical challenges and keep our facilities operating at peak performance.

Additional Information:

This is a full time, permanent position. This position is overtime eligible.

Monthly Salary: $5,398 to $6,259 | Range 51G (Steps G-M) | Successful candidates are typically hired at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with the applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
