Job Description
As a Security Officer Healthcare Patrol in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more.
As a Patrol Unarmed Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help create a secure environment for staff, patients, and visitors. Your visible presence will help to deter potential security-related incidents while you provide exceptional customer service and communicate clearly with all individuals on-site. - Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
- Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
- Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
- Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
- Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise
Responsibilities:
- Provide customer service to clients, patients, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations within the healthcare environment in a calm, problem-solving manner, while maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any irregularities.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and sensitive areas to support a secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
- Document and report security-related incidents, unusual conditions, and maintenance concerns observed during patrols.
- Assist with access control and visitor management in accordance with established procedures for the healthcare location.
- Support Allied Universal in providing a visible presence and upholding a welcoming environment while addressing security-related matters in accordance with training and protocols.

- Interest in transitioning into full-time roles when available
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
- A Security Professional Guard Card is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
