Your Responsibilities

 

As a Senior Software Engineer for John Deere Supply Chain Solutions, located in Moline, IL, you will...

 

• Be responsible for delivering modern Full Stack solutions which will support the vendor material sourcing processes within John Deere Enterprise Supply Management. These solutions are used by John Deere personnel around the world. In this position, you will:
• Develop and implement modern technical solutions to deliver on User Stories
• Assist in resolution of IT technical issues in the product team
• Establish and implement CI/CD pipelines
• Develop automated test scripts

What Skills You Need

 

• 5 or more years of experience in Java web development with Spring and RESTful APIs or Rest/SOAP based services
• 5 or more years of varied DB experience (e.g. SQL Server, MongoDB, Hibernate, NoSQL, MySQL, DB2, PostgreSQL)
• 3 or more years experience in modern web application development using React with Redux
• 3 or more years of experience with TDD and acceptance test-driven development utilizing J-Unit, Cucumber, Cypress, Puppeteer, React Testing Library, etc.
• 3 or more years of experience with DevOps principles and lean development such as Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (preferably using GitHub and GitHub Actions)
• 3 or more years experience building applications in a cloud hosted operational environment

What Makes You Stand Out

 

• Amazon Web Services experience and certification
• Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum team environment
• Understanding of Supply Management processes
• Previous John Deere application development experience

Education

 

Ideally you will have a degree or equivalent related work experience in the following:
 

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, related field, or equivalent related work experience
