About the role

As the Senior Engineering Manager for Financial Services, you’ll own the end-to-end delivery of scalable systems that power global money movement, orchestrating payments reliably, securely, quickly, and at scale. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Product and Operations teams to handle complex internals such as forex, routing, and compliance, ensuring seamless payments execution across geographies and payment rails.We're looking for a Senior Engineering Manager with a strong product-building mindset who thrives in high-ownership environments. Key expectations from the role include:

Product Development Experience: Proven hands-on experience in building scalable products end-to-end. Should have driven both small and large scale initiatives, from defining technical architecture to delivering production-ready systems.

Payments Domain experience: Strong understanding of payments ecosystem, including transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, integrations with payment gateways or financial networks. Experience with systems involving compliance, risk management, or cross-border payments is highly desirable.

Stakeholder Collaboration: Demonstrated ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strong collaboration and communication skills are essential.

Execution-Driven: Highly execution-oriented with a clear understanding of how to define roadmaps, set milestones, and deliver outcomes. Adept at balancing short term execution with long term strategy.

People Leadership: Minimum of 3 years in a managerial capacity, with at least 8 years as an Individual Contributor. Proven experience leading engineering teams and mentoring developers driving performance and growth.

Technical Foundation: While deep technical hands-on experience is good to have at this stage, the candidate should have a sound understanding of tech and be able to guide architecture decisions, review designs and provide technical direction.

Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially when working with distributed teams and cross functional stakeholders.
