Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, this Summer, we’re looking to add a Financial Analyst Intern located in our Austin, TX site.

Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager, the student will collaborate with various teams at Flex to support the Finance organization with financial reporting, reviews, analysis and business planning recommendations.

What a typical day looks like:

• Assist in preparation and review of consolidated financial statements.
• Prepare & assist in actual and forecasted financial data and activities.
• Assist in monthly and quarterly reviews for Global procurement and supply chain.
• Generate and review financial key operating statistics.
• Prepare reports (scheduled and ad-hoc) in support of supplier financial analysts to prevent risk.
• Generate various financial reporting such as cost analysis, cost reduction/price reduction, and Material Margin.
• Make recommendations regarding cost-saving or profit-generating opportunities and profitability improvement strategies.
• Coordinate and gather, analyze, summarize and prepare recommendations regarding financial plans, acquisition activity, new business planning, and operating forecasts.
• Attend team meetings and support project work as needed to include assisting other departments such as corporate tax, treasury, and other financial departments.

Student qualities we’re seeking for this internship assignment:

• Undergraduate student (Senior level) pursuing degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related major
• Self-motivated and highly organized; attention to detail
• Experience working with multiple teams
• Highly collaborative, analytical, and excellent communication skills
• Previous Finance related internship with a manufacturing company, a plus!

Austin Intern Program Requirements:

• Available to start on May 28th and work 40 hours/week (in-person) for 10-12 week Summer assignment
• Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
• 3.0 minimum GPA
