Job Title: Procurement – Transportation Assistant (FWS/NFWS)

Position Summary/Purpose:
The Transportation Assistant supports the Procurement department by assisting with the timely and safe transport of products across campus. This role focuses on driving golf carts, loading and unloading goods, and maintaining consistent communication with leadership to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and safely.
Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions:
- Safely operate golf carts to deliver miscellaneous and packaged food products across various campus locations
- Load and unload items such as food products, CO₂ tanks, mail, equipment, pallets, and Pepsi crates
- Handle and organize receipts and delivery paperwork; maintain clear, ongoing communication with leadership
- Deliver to multiple locations including basement, Agave, Simply To Go, Nourish, and other operational areas
- Practice excellent customer service and safety throughout each shift
- Follow university safety guidelines while transporting and handling all materials
Equipment Used and Responsibility:
- Golf carts
- Hand tools and transport containers
- Straps, gloves, and other safety equipment
- Work phones and delivery paperwork
- Daily interaction requiring strong communication and customer service skills
Qualifications:
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs throughout the entire shift
- High level of situational awareness and attention to safety protocols
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a team
Experience/Education:

- Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program
- Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor-level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master-level student
- Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
- You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
Expected End Date: June 30, 2026
