ABOUT THE JOB

The Strategic Customer Advisor (SCA) will act as a trusted advisor and strategic resource both internally and externally.  This position will work with both the Sales organization and the OneStream client base, presenting solution options and plans to deliver OneStream solutions efficiently and effectively. The SCA will also provide quality assurance checkpoints and execute formal Quality Assurance programs for implementation projects designated as strategic by senior management for reasons such as client size (annual revenues, etc.), industry, billable revenue, complexity and global presence.  

 

 The SCA promotes cross functional collaboration between various internal departments, such as, Sales, Alliances, Services, Customer Success and Support and our OS Partner community.  This cross functional collaboration is to manage expectations and delivery Plans during the Sales cycle and ensure that clients are retained and be a reference for OneStream.  In addition, the SCA will work to identify other areas of opportunity for OneStream within the client organization.

 

 

The SCA must be self-sufficient and pro-active in managing their work while maintaining appropriate communication and escalation to OneStream management.  They should be able to work both independently and as part of a team.
              

 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Primary conduit for Sales organization to engage OneStream Professional Services.
• Responsible for overseeing engagements to successful conclusion while positioning OneStream for additional sales and services opportunities.
• Provide quality assurance checkpoints and execute formal Quality Assurance program on accounts deemed strategic.
• Partner across OneStream for customer relationship management of multiple accounts.
• Support the triage and resolution of critical program issues.
• Proactively engage target client base for incremental software license opportunities.
• For assigned strategic clients, collaborate with implementation team to communicate progress, issues and risks to the client and OneStream stakeholders via regular written and verbal communications.
• Ensure adherence to OneStream’s engagement methodologies for assigned clients.
• Engage with Partners to support cross vendor delivery solutions.
• Collaborate with Alliances and Customer Success where required for partner-led projects.
• Maintain effective and collaborative relationships with engagement associated third-party partners and vendors.
• Leverage the collective expertise of the team to identify project risks and take corrective action.

 

 

QUALITIES OF A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Minimum of 5 years project management experience.
• 7-10 years working in software, financial systems or EPM implementations.
• Experience implementing software solutions.
• Undergraduate degree in fields such as (but not limited to) Accounting, Business, Finance, Information Systems, Mathematics, or CIS, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience with the MS Office suite, including MS Project.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.

PREFERRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Master’s degree in business administration (MBA).
• Dutch and/or Afrikaans language would be a plus.
• A professional project management designation.
• Prior experience with any of the following products is a plus:
  • OneStream
  • HFM (Hyperion Financial Management)
  • FDM (Financial Data Quality Management)
  • Hyperion Planning/Hyperion Essbase
  • SAP Outlooksoft BPC
  • SAP BOFC (Cartesis)
  • IBM Cognos
  • Anaplan
  • Blackline
  • Other EPM solutions.

 

TRAVEL

• Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel up to 70-80%.
