Position Summary:
The incumbent will serve as a Senior Electrical Engineer for the Family Care Technology Development Team with focus on Tissue Converting machines. The individual will both lead and support projects in technology development as well as early capital estimates toward completion of Engineering Feasibility Studies (EFS) including input or starting Engineering Design Reports (EDR) just prior to appropriation. This role would also lead or support First of A Kind (FOAK) conversion start-ups. Other cross-functional partners would include Mill, Supply Chain, Finance and other R&D teams, as well as working close with TSPs and OEMs. This role will report to and receive work direction from an R&D Associate Director. It starts with YOU.
In this role, you will:
- Lead R&D team members to deliver upon project goals. This role may own project budgets, schedules and resourcing plans working with and leading projects with a multi-discipline engineering team.
- Communicates effectively and succinctly in many forms to key stake holders including R&D and cross-functional Senior Leaders.
- Drives a culture of documented and protected innovation utilizing patents and trade secrets.
- As a leader, provide work direction, coaching and mentoring within the broader Family Care R&D team.
- Understand the innovation strategy and drive the development and execution of projects focused on long-term competitive advantage forecasting business needs 2 to 5+ years out.
- Ensure all work complies with Corporate Safety, Regulatory and Quality requirements as well as our Company Code of Conduct.
- Work closely with the Supply Chain, Mills, Finance and other R&D teams to achieve project goals.
- Drive work direction and guidance toward R&D discipline leads as well as TSPs and OEMs.
- Use significant influence to impact critical decisions from business leaders.

About You
To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM related field from an accredited college/university.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in production or R&D environments.
- Proven track record of effectively communicating to and influencing leaders and team members across all levels of the R&D and cross-functional organization.
- Demonstrated ability to provide work direction to team members not in a direct reporting relationship.
- 10-25% travel with heavier times during in factory testing or machine conversions.
