Job Description

The primary responsibility of this engineer is to perform PCB layout design for high-capacity HDD products. We are seeking a PCB layout engineer who has a solid analog/digital circuit design background and is motivated to deliver high quality hardware solutions for entire product life cycle.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Work with product design engineers to understand requirements
  • Perform PCB layout of high speed/high-density value conscious PCBs
  • Complete development of PCB layout, floor planning and component placement
  • Work with mechanical engineers to ensure PCBA keep-out comply with product enclosures
  • Manage constraints and ensure compliance with SI/PI, EMI/RFI, and Design for Manufacturing guidelines
  • Generate manufacturing files and drawings
  • Follow UL, European regulations, and IPC specifications

Qualifications

Required:

  • BS in Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 1-3 years of industry experience
  • Knowledge of PCB design, layout, and timing constraints
  • Experience with Cadence Allegro PCB Design tool, EDM Pulse library
  • Knowledge of analog circuit design, digital circuit design, power supply design, high speed interface design, signal/power integrity
  • Understanding of PCB manufacturing process is a plus

Skill: 

  • Strong oral and written communication skills
