What You Will Do In Your Role
A Day in the Life Typically Includes:
- Receive / process / analyze product & chemical samples from different areas of the plant.
- Complete sample analysis for supporting daily operations that includes but not limited to RV, Amine Ends, pH, X-ray, tensile properties, finish on yarn, moisture on yarn, crimps measurement etc.
- Ensure sample results are automatically sent via computer applications and results are communicated with the machine operators in a timely manner.
- Share and seek knowledge from the technical or the area Specialist to assist with troubleshooting, any special training/equipment needs.
- Process special requests from engineers; supporting new product testing.
- Maintain safe work practices by following safety data sheets (SDS’s), plant/area Safety rules and procedures.
- Respond to production or environmental non-conformance, communicating with the site operations!
- Manage data entry in computer applications (SAP, OpCon, PQM-g, etc.) and Microsoft Office Suite

Work Schedule:
- 8-hour shifts.
- Ability to provide lab coverage outside of working hours.
- Ability to work during weekends and holidays if needed.
The Experience You Will Bring
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
What Will Put You Ahead
- Level 2 Safe Work Permit Issuer & Lockout Capabilities
- Working knowledge of OpCon, PQM, SAP, Microsoft Office Suite
- Associate's degree or higher
- 1-year minimum technical experience (Intermediate proficiency level in Microsoft Office (especially Excel), ability to troubleshoot data and recognize outliers
- Work Keys: Locating Information or Graphic Literacy – 5, Observation – 4, Applied Mathematics – 5
- Experience working in a laboratory environment
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:
- Perform tasks such as lifting (~55lbs), walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing and/or pulling for up to eight (8) hours / day
- Commitment to adhere to safety rules and regulations including wearing personal protective equipment (including respirators)
- Working twelve (8) hour shifts to include, weekends & holidays
- Available to work Overtime
