About the role

Description

The Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center, Strong Memorial Hospital and Highland Hospital located in Rochester, NY seek a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Vascular Surgery.  The successful applicant will join eight board certified academic surgeons in practice. 

Desirable candidates possess a strong commitment to patient care, education, and research.  The scope of practice encompasses vascular and endovascular cases including arterial and venous work at both inpatient and outpatient sites. The position will provide care at Strong Memorial Hospital, Highland Hospital, with rotation into the Finger Lake region, providing both inpatient and outpatient care at all sites.  The Division is supported by advanced practice providers, clinical trials nurses, and a robust QA/PI group.  An active cardiovascular engineering lab and vascular outcomes research infrastructure is in place.  Faculty are actively involved in training integrated 0 5 vascular surgery residents, fellows, surgery residents and medical students.

Qualifications

Candidates must have completed medical school receiving an MD or equivalent and completed a full surgical training residency program.  Candidates must be BE/BC and be eligible for faculty appointment at all academic levels.  Must be eligible for a full NYS medical license.

The referenced pay range represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the base range of compensation for this faculty position.  Individual salaries will be determined within the job's salary range and established based on (but not limited to) market data, experience and expertise of the individual, and with consideration to related position salaries.  Alignment of clinical incentive-based compensation may also be applicable and will be discussed during the hiring process.
