Developmental Paraprofessional Job Type: Micro Part-time (4-10 hours a week) Hourly Rate: $20 - $26 dollars/hour (based on requirements/qualifications) Location: Solano Beach, San Diego, Escondido, Ca & Surrounding areas We are Positive Development: A New Model of Care in Autism Positive Development is a leading provider of in-home care for children and teens with autism. As a Developmental Paraprofessional, you’ll work 1-on-1 with our clients in their homes using our developmental approach to care. You’ll be fully supported by our Clinical team on your journey to becoming an invaluable resource to a child and their family. What you’ll do as a Developmental Paraprofessional: · You will work a micro part-time role consisting of approximately 4-10 hours per week. · Earn as you learn our unique method of care. Training pays $20/hr and takes approximately 20 hours. · Provide one-on-one play-based care for a child or young adult with autism. · Follow a personalized plan for your client—reporting progress each session through our custom mobile app · Communicate thoughtfully and professionally with your client’s family so that they become an informed extension of our care program · Attend clinical lectures and team meetings to aid in your development · Join a joyful company culture that is invested in your success and the success of the families we serve Physical Requirements: The role of a Developmental Paraprofessional requires a high level of physical activity to effectively support and ensure the safety of clients. This includes, but is not limited to, the ability to: · Lift and carry up to 40 pounds to assist clients with mobility, transitions, or handling therapeutic equipment. · Engage with clients during play based or therapeutic activities in a manner that may involve positioning at various levels, such as sitting, kneeling, or crouching. · Respond immediately and effectively to client needs, including running or adjusting positioning promptly to ensure clients safety and well-being. · Sustain active participation in hands-on activities with clients throughout the scheduled shift in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. These physical requirements are essential to providing high-quality care and ensuring the safety of both clients and staff during therapy sessions and other interactions.
