Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 2) OR Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our Test and Evaluation organization.  This role is located in Melbourne, FL.

As a Cyber Systems Engineer, you will be part of a team encompassing the full product lifecycle of a software development and test environment using your knowledge of operating system administration, web app design, and security monitoring tools. Key Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintain availability of instrumentation data network and instrumentation data center.
  • Collecting and reporting system data metrics.
  • Ensure systems adhere to program configuration and data management plans.
  • Providing software maintenance and installing software upgrades and patches.
  • Maintain active licenses, maintenance contracts and warrantees.

  

Basic Qualifications: 

This requisition may be filled at a Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 2) or Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3) level based on the qualifications below.

Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 2)

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 2 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status
  • Must possess a current DoD 8570 Level 2 Certification (i.e. Security+ CE or equivalent).
  • Demonstrated experience in the managing operating systems, e.g., (Windows Sever and/or desktop environments).

Principal Cyber Systems Engineer (Level 3)

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math) discipline and 5 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related professional/military experience; OR a Ph.D. in a STEM discipline and 1 year of related professional/military experience.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret or higher clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance, prior to the commencement of employment.
  • Must be willing and able to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status
  • Must possess a current Do
