Position Overview
The Illinois Department of Public Health is seeking a highly motivated individual to under the direction of the Unit Manger for the Health Care Facilities & Program Training Unit, develops and provides training and education to staff within the Division of Health Care Facilities & Programs across all program types including: Hospitals, critical Access Hospitals (CAHs), Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASCs), End Stage Renal Disease (ESRD) facilities, Home Health Agencies (HHAs), Hospices, Health Maintenance Organizations (HMOs), Outpatient Physical Therapy and Speech pathology (OPT/SP), Comprehensive Outpatient Rehabilitation Facilities (CORFs), Portable X-Ray (PXR) Services, Community Mental Health Centers (CMHCs), Phychiatric Residential Treatment Facilities (PRTFs), Rural Health Clinics (RHCs), and Organ Transplant Programs on aspects of the health care survey process related to determining compliance with federal Medicare/Medicaid certification and State license requirements. Ensures standardization throughout the training program by all subordinate educators. Develops and revises policies and procedures to ensure standardization, consistency, and efficiency of survey activities.
