This career step requires expert level experience. The Big Data Engineer will be responsible for interpreting the requirements of various Big Data Analytic Use Cases and Scenarios, and driving the design and implementation of specific data models to ultimately help drive better business decisions through insights from a combination of external and AT&Ts data assets. This role is also accountable for developing the necessary enablers and data platform in the Big Data Lake Environment and has the responsibility of maintaining its integrity during the life cycle phases.

Advanced Model Development and Implementation The Principal AI and Data Solutions Architect will lead the development and deployment of cutting-edge models and solutions, utilizing deep technological expertise and the latest advancements in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI). This role requires a strategic visionary capable of navigating and integrating complex technological ecosystems to create innovative solutions that drive significant business impact. Responsibilities include staying at the forefront of AI research, identifying emerging trends, and translating them into practical applications that enhance the organization's competitive edge. Collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of AI solutions into existing systems, and mentoring junior team members to elevate the overall technical proficiency of the team, will be essential aspects of this role.

Data Management and Infrastructure Setup The position involves sourcing, cleaning, and transforming data, building robust ETL processes, and establishing the necessary technical infrastructure to connect various data sources. Key responsibilities include setting up secure networking from source systems, ingesting raw data, cleaning and validating data, constructing business-ready datasets, implementing health monitoring scripts, and collaborating with users for data tool adoption. Additionally, the role includes identifying models for improvement and overseeing junior developers by providing technology guidance, conducting code reviews, and offering overall assistance. Regular interaction with ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) ensures alignment with best practices and standards.

Our Principal Data/AI Engineering, earn between $158,200 - $237,400. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
