About the role

The Program Outreach Specialist will be responsible for supporting our work on select utility programs. The individual will focus on proactively recruiting construction projects into our utility programs. In addition, the Program Outreach Specialist will identify, research and assist with recruiting ideal projects into the program and prepare them for success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying, tracking and cultivating prospective participants in existing utility programs.
  • Regular outreach including architect/engineer lunch and learns, trade show presentations, cold calling, and active participation in local professional organizations.
  • Working with practice group leaders and program managers to meet participation and revenue objectives for the programs.
  • Work with program managers to gain applications and drawings from prospective participants.
  • Supporting participant and client satisfaction.
  • Forecasting project enrollment to assist practice group leaders with intelligence, assessment, planning and strategy as they relate to the delivery of contracted work.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business Administration, Business Management, Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or similar, required. 5+ years of sales or marketing experience in the construction, architecture or engineering industry may be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Knowledge of the local architectural design and construction industry is desired.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, some quantitative analysis and graphics skills.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently; decisive and self-directed.
  • Listens carefully and objectively to others and determine their wants, risks and needs prior to speaking.
  • Plans and prepares in advance for the outcome the company wants from the discussion or presentation while balancing the needs of the client.
  • Presents information in a manner consistent with the company’s style and responsibilities.
  • Meets challenges with resourcefulness and generates suggestions for improving work; Develops innovative approaches and ideas that work effectively when needed.
  • Forms and maintains positive relationships with customers and prospective partners.
  • Can be relied upon to complete work assignments and projects in accord or in advance of committed, scheduled deadlines.
