Looking for a short-term ultrasound opportunity in one of Montana’s most beautiful outdoor destinations? Logan Health Medical Center, located in scenic Kalispell, Montana, is looking for a Seasonal Ultrasound Sonographer to join our Imaging Services team for a 13-week assignment.

This role supports general ultrasound services, with additional experience in vascular, OB/GYN, or MFM ultrasound preferred.

Seasonal Position Details:

  • Full-time work schedule required for no less than a 13-week period

  • 15% Premium Seasonal Pay

  • Additional night and weekend shift differential pay, as applicable

  • 401(k) eligible

  • Fitness center membership discount - $29.75 per month

  • $1,000 Seasonal Bonus paid after 30 days in position

  • $1,000 Seasonal Bonus paid after 60 days in position

  • $2,000 Seasonal Completion Bonus

  • No health benefits offered

Seasonal Minimum Qualification:

Seasonal Sonographer must have 2 years of applicable ultrasound experience in the assigned area.

What You’ll Need:

  • Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required

  • Current ARDMS certification in Abdomen and/or OB/GYN required

  • Minimum 2 years of general ultrasound experience required

  • Current BLS certification required within 7 days of hire/transfer or before independent patient care, whichever occurs first

  • Strong scanning skills, clinical judgment, adaptability, and attention to detail

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced imaging environment

  • Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care

What You’ll Do:

  • Perform high-quality general ultrasound exams in accordance with provider orders, department protocols, and established imaging standards

  • Prepare patients for exams, explain procedures, answer questions, and help create a positive and supportive patient experience

  • Review patient history, clinical indications, and exam requirements to ensure accurate and complete imaging

  • Operate ultrasound equipment safely and effectively while selecting appropriate technical factors and imaging techniques

  • Evaluate images for technical quality and completeness prior to submitting studies for interpretation

  • Accurately document exam information, patient history, and related details in the appropriate systems

  • Collaborate with radiologists, providers, nurses, and imaging team members to support timely patient care

  • Maintain infection control standards, patient safety practices, and department policies

  • Respond appropriately to changing patient needs, urgent requests, and workflow demands

  • Support a team-based environment while maintaining professionalism, confidentiality, and excellent service

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week.  Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
