About the role

Description

 The Director of Schumacher University and Organizational Development will be responsible for the overseeing, developing, facilitating, and implementing all corporate training programs across all departments and positions for Schumacher Auto Group. The director will work alongside the executive team to identify training needs and support the talent development of all employees. The position is responsible for managing and supporting the assessment of organizational needs and the design, implementation and evaluation of programs that facilitate the professional development and continuous learning of team members.
Essential Job Responsibilities

  • Create and develop training courses and packages for all positions across all departments.
  • Facilitate high quality learning sessions for each department and position.
  • Facilitate New Hire Orientation and Onboarding program for all new employees.
  • Manage and coordinate Schumacher University’s monthly master training calendar.
  • Vet all curriculums and course content. 
  • Keep accurate records of training and attendance.
  • Work with external vendors to manage and schedule purchased training packages.
  • Communicate with managers to design courses to address departmental needs.
  • Monitor employee learning and progress for career advancement.
  • Design and implement strategies that build and sustain a positive, inclusive, and high-performance company culture.
  • Act as a culture ambassador, ensuring the company's core values are reflected in all employee interactions.
  • Conduct culture assessments and coach leadership on action plans to continuously improve employee engagement and satisfaction.
  • Lead the development of strategic talent acquisition initiatives, ensuring effective recruitment processes to attract top-tier talent
  • Oversee and guide onboarding programs, ensuring new hires are smoothly integrated into the company’s culture.
  • Coach business leaders on continuous talent development programs, offering guidance on performance management, career progression, and leadership development.
  • Support succession planning efforts by identifying and mentoring potential future leaders.
  • Champion employee engagement by designing and executing internal communication strategies and initiatives that foster team collaboration and a positive work environment.
  • Coach executives and teams on leadership best practices, facilitating talent growth and performance improvement.
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions with employees and teams to ensure the continuous alignment of company culture with business goals.

Requirements/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, human resources, organizational development, business administration or related field, master’s degree preferred.
  • Leadership executive with experience implementing high quality professional development training programs for adult learners
  • Data driven and motivated leader with a growth mindset.
  • Highly organized leader with the capacity to execute the vision and mission of Schumacher University.
  • Leader with knowledge of current progressive automotive trends, national automotive conference competitions and presentation opportunities.
