The Opportunity:

 

The Business Intelligence Team Leader manages a team of Business Intelligence employees and ensures that all reporting requests from the departments are met. The Business Intelligence Team Leader will report to the VP of Shared Business Services.

 

The Day-to-Day:

  • Design solutions and develop project plans to build data warehouse and data marts, business intelligence and analytics with a focus on enhancing end-user experience through self-service solutions, speed of delivery, and high-quality results
  • Prioritize work requests to meet business desires and needs by assigning staff and overseeing delivery
  • Lead the implementation of technical business intelligence solutions focused on providing information and metrics
  • Build process maturity around business intelligence development and support processes
  • Define important metrics demonstrating efficient and effective utilization and consumption of business intelligence tools and services
  • Interview, evaluate, and recommend candidates to hire
  • Managerial responsibilities including participating in disciplinary actions and terminations for direct reports
  • Mentor and train direct reports. Ensure daily business support needs are met
  • Manage all phases of various projects from envisioning through deployment
  • Collaborate with business groups to elicit their needs for reporting dashboards
  • Partner with Application, Infrastructure, and Information Security teams to fulfill business intelligence and analytics needs of the assigned business group
  • Reduce risk to our company by implementing governance and security controls in partnership with the Information Security and Enterprise Risk teams

Your Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of related experience and training with data warehouses, data marts, dashboards/reports, business intelligence, analytics, and related technologies
  • Demonstrated experience developing and implementing technology roadmaps, and delivering measurable improvements
  • Experience with the full software development lifecycle, from strategy to development, deployment, and support
  • Demonstrable experience with business intelligence platforms, such as Tableau, Power BI, or equivalent
  • Experience designing and implementing in major database platforms, such as Microsoft Azure Synapse and Analysis Services, Microsoft SQL Server/SSAS, Oracle, or equivalent
  • Familiarity with data warehouse modeling techniques, such as Kimball method, Data Vault, or Corporate Information Factory approach
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, math, or similar technical field or equivalent experience

Compensation:

  • $130,000-$180,000 base salary per year in the state of WA - New hires should expect to start at the lower end of the range depending on experience
  • Eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance
