IU Health is seeking an experienced Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our Cardiopulmonary Rehab department at Saxony hospital. We are seeking an individual who is driven to help patients reach their individual health goals after they have experienced an acute cardiac and/or pulmonary event. The ideal candidate will be self-driven, able to multi-task, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, and have a minimum of 2 years’ experience in respiratory therapy. This position requires the ability to interpret in real-time heart rhythms, check patient blood glucose levels, and must maintain BLS and ACLS certification. Experience in cardio-pulmonary is preferred.

About this position:
Monday – Friday 7:00 a.m.-3:30 p.m. working at least 1 shift every 6 weeks as needed
• Requires current license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner from the state of Indiana.
• Requires graduation from a CoARC (Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care) and regionally accredited respiratory care program.
• Requires that the N.B.R.C. (National Board for Respiratory Care) registry exam be passed within 13 months of hire date. The 13 month requirement for the RRT is void if hire date is one year past graduation date.
• Requires Healthcare Provider Certification. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
• Preferred ACLS; PALS; and/or NRP certification.
• Requires strong customer service skills.
• Requires effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Requires the ability to deal with confidential patient information.
• Requires basic computer skills and ability to work with EMR.
