Short Description

  • Consistently demonstrates the ability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care consistent with age and developmental needs of patients and cultural and spiritual needs of patients
  • Utilizes a multisystem approach for the assessment and reassessment of patients per unit policy.
  • Maintains a therapeutic relationship with patients/ family/ significant others while providing care in a high stress environment with multiple priorities 
  • Identifies and prioritizes patients problems/needs, implements safety practices for those at risk and reports abnormal clinical findings or changes in patient condition to physician
  • Knowledge and ability to maintain isolation procedures,
  • Knowledge of IV therapy via IV certification course
  • Knowledge of medications frequently administered on a Med/Surg unit and or telemetry
  • Knowledge of wound care management and interventions

Education Requirements

Graduate of NLN accredited School of Nursing.

License/Certification Requirements

Current registration with the New Jersey State Board of Nursing.Current American Heart Association, (AHA) BLS CPR (Basic Life Support) Certification required.
